RICHARD CLEMENTS
November 6th to the 29th

Richard Clements' practice stems from his interest in holistic philosophy and the hermeneutic circle in reference to the construction of meaning. His artistic methodology is one of inclusive skepticism, concurrently presenting and retracting sculptural propositions inherent within the work itself and in reference to an external associative horizon.
This approach references concepts from the physics of rheology--such as the study of the flow and deformation of matter--to the nature of the structure of thought: Clements views rational cognition as a precarious and limiting system, but with the potential for aqueous possibility.
Born in London, England in 1983. Clements received an MFA from Goldsmiths College (2007). Since graduating he has participated in shows locally and internationally.
